I value quality and getting the jewelry piece perfect for you.  If it is a small reimagined project, it will take approximately 2 weeks.  For full custom or redesign jewelry projects, this could take 4-8 weeks.  Some of this time depends on you and how quickly we can create the perfect design to be approved.

Fortunately we live in the era of zoom! You will get the same concierge experience whether we are meeting in person or 100% virtual.  For redesign projects, I will send you a fully insured shipping label through Jeweler’s Mutual to send your jewelry without worry.

Working on each project in this way (rather than trying to squeeze your materials into a mass produced, pre-made setting) allows me to design each new piece in a unique way that best suits your life and personal style. Glad you asked!  This can be many things and it all depends on what you have and what you want to create.  In basic terms, repurposing is using the diamonds, gemstones and sometimes metal from your old, heirloom or unworn jewelry and transforming it into a new customized jewelry piece (or pieces) that is either slightly different or completely different and unique.  Every client is blown away with the result of the transformation!

Each project is thoroughly assessed based on the design complexity, labor, and materials that will be used in the final product at the specific time period of the project.

Once you choose a design you love from your proposal options, you will get an approximate cost. The final cost is determined after you are 100% happy with the CAD rendering or hand wax carving.

We’ve worked on hundreds of projects ranging in price from $300 to $10,000+, but the vast majority of previous custom designed jewelry has been between $650 and $3000.

Custom Redesign projects–where we use your diamonds, gemstones, and possibly metal– cost between $300 and $2500. This price does not include any gold credits you may have from your initial settings.

New Custom engagement rings can cost from $2500 to $15,000 or more.  It all depends what center stone you choose.  We strive to always work within your budget to get the best stone at the best price!

In all of my custom redesign I insist on using precious metals that are professionally alloyed by a refinery. Melting ols gold or platinum can lead to durability issues and I want you to enjoy a new piece that will last a lifetime!  In some cases, if possible, we will reuse gold from YOUR heirloom piece. That is, if it is an integral part of the design, like taking a wedding band and adding stones, making earrings, or creating a fun bypass ring.

During your remodeling project, I am always pleased to re-use and recycle as much of your precious metals if it is used as an integral part of the new design. The precious metals (gold or platinum) that is not used in the project will be weighed after all the stones are out and can be applied to your project as credit to lower your final cost.

These kinds of projects are my specialty! Each piece of jewelry will be examined to identify which stones can be used and which ones you would prefer to include in a new design. Some of my  favorite designs incorporate several loose diamonds and/or gemstones into bracelets, necklaces, rings, and bracelets. More is always better!

Whether I’m working with your most valuable diamonds or your childhood birthstone jewelry, I work in gold and platinum, giving my highest level of workmanship to each project. All of my projects–whether it is a small reset or a new custom design– are treated with the same 100% attention and care.

When you decide on a design you like and want to proceed, I will need the jewelry in hand to either hand make a wax or create your 3D CAD so that everything is exact and fits perfectly.  If you are in the New York/Long Island area, we can arrange to meet in person. Or if you live outside the area, I will send you an insured UPS label to ship your valuable items safely.  It’s easy, simply get a small padded envelope, give me the size in inches & I will e-mail you an issued label.
