How does the custom jewelry design process work?
The journey to your dream piece of jewelry begins with a virtual consultation where you share your vision, style, and budget.
Next comes the design phase where 3-6 computer sketches are drawn up for you to choose from or tweak so that the design is exactly to your liking.
Once approved, your unique piece is crafted by skilled jewelers and diamond setters.
The result? A beautiful, one-of-a-kind piece that’s all YOU!
Can I use my existing jewelry in a custom design?
Absolutely, this is my specialty! Custom jewelry redesign is my passion and the reason why I started Origins Custom Jewelry.
There are tons of options to creating a custom new piece from your existing jewelry. You can embellish a piece you already have, add texture, stones, added metal designs or incorporate your existing gemstones or metals into a completely new design.
It’s a wonderful way to give new life to heirloom pieces or jewelry that doesn’t quite fit your style anymore.

How long does it take to create a custom piece?
Timelines can vary depending on the complexity of the design and how quickly the final design is approved.
For a reimagined heirloom redesign where you use only your old existing jewelry to create something new or embellished heirloom redesign where we add metal or gemstones to your existing jewelry, the timeline is approximately 2 weeks.
For custom jewelry or engagement rings designed from scratch where I source the diamonds or gemstones or a fully customized redesign pieces where I use your stones in the new design, this typically takes anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks.

Will I be involved in the design process?
Definitely! Custom design is all about collaboration. From the initial consultation to the final approval, your input is key to bringing your vision to life. After all, this piece is a reflection of you!
And as your jewelry concierge, you will have 24/7 access to me via text, email or zoom anytime you have questions, concerns, or design ideas.
During the creation process, you will be given updates of the progress so that you are always involved and in the know.
